October: 8th Grade Yearbook ProjectEach year the graduating class of St. Martin’s is featured in the yearbook. In order to complete this section of the yearbook we need some information from you. We may not be able to use everything depending on space in the yearbook but please fill out each section so we have the information if there is room. All quotes, lyrics and memories will be reviewed and you will be asked to submit something else if the information provided is inappropriate in any way. To complete this project, use Word and create a document containing the information detailed below (you need to include each bolded item) and save it in your folder as Your Name – Yearbook. Your Full Name: Nickname(s): No derogatory or inappropriate nicknames will be allowed in the yearbook – this should be nicknames that people at St. Martin’s know you by. Your Favorite Quote: No inappropriate language or subject manner. Quotes should be no longer than 2-3 sentences. Include the source of your quote – who said it. If you can't think of a quote or you want to find the source, look up quotes by subject or search for quotes from a famous person at these sites: Your Favorite Lyric: No inappropriate lyrics. Do not quote an entire song; quote your favorite 2 or 3 lines please. Include the source of the lyrics – Artist and Song Title. Do you need to search for lyrics? Try these sites - please note that most of these sites are all very heavy on ads and sometimes require more than one click to get to the lyrics. Your Favorite Bible Quote: Make sure you cite where the quote is from - Book, Chapter & Verses. Not sure of the exact Bible quote or can't remember the exact chapter and verse for the quote you want to use? Check out these Bible sites for help where you can search by keyword in many different translations of the Bible. Your Favorite Memory of St. Martin’s: Maybe you'll always remember Catalina or that winning basket you made or a special moment with a friend or the teacher that inspired you - whatever the memory is that you'll take with you, here's where we want to know about it. Your parents, teachers, fellow students and others will be reading this so choose a memory that you'll be proud to re-read when you have children of your own getting ready to graduate from Middle School. What High School do you plan to attend: We realize that you may not know and that you may be applying to multiple schools. Please list all the schools you will be applying to in order of preference. Based on yearbook deadlines we will most likely know where you will be attending before we have to finalize the 8th grade pages but we need this information "just in case". |
